Talking Dog Film is Teaching Summer Video Classes!
Let’s learn together
Join us this June and July for a hands-on Summer Video Production Class designed to introduce middle and high school students to the exciting world of filmmaking! Over the course of three weeks, youth will learn the basics of video production, including camera operation, lighting, sound, storytelling, and editing. Taught in a fun and supportive environment, this class will empower students to bring their creative ideas to life—from concept to final cut.
Sessions for middle school begins June 2nd and will take place every Monday and Wednesday for three weeks. Sessions for high schoolers begin July 7th and will go for three weeks. Each session is from 10:00–11:30 AM at Crossroads Church (102 W César E. Chávez Ave, Lansing, MI 48906). This is a free course, and snacks will be provided at each class. Students are encouraged to bring a laptop if they have one, but laptops will be available for those who need them. All camera equipment will be available, but only during sessions. If a student wishes to continue filming beyond class, they will need their own camera or a cell phone. While participation is free, donations are welcome to support this program and our nonprofit efforts to provide creative opportunities for youth in the community. We only have the capacity for 10 students per class at this time.
